Ulrich Schaechtle, PhD Computer Science
I am currently working as part of the MIT Probabilistic Computing Project under supervision of Vikash K. Mansinghka, researching Bayesian nonparametric models and inference in probabilistic programming. I hold a PhD from the Department of Computer Science, Royal Holloway, University of London.
My interests lie in machine learning. I am particularly fascinated by probabilistic programming and causality as well as Bayesian nonparametrics, graphical models and latent variable models.
I am interested in implications and applications of my research in the domains of biology and medicine. For the COMMODITY12 project I applied machine learning within the health-care process of diabetic patients.
